True Christianity: Start Doing Good Things

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. - Psalm 34:14
Yesterday, a friend of mine sent me a text message and I think it’s a good one. So I want to share to you the message and some personal point of view about it. Here’s the message:
“If you keep doin’ what
you’ve always done
You’ll always get what
you always got…
————————————-
‘when you want something
You’ve never had
You’ve got to do something
You’ve never done’”
The message is good and we can apply it into our daily living as a Christian. If we’ll look into the message phrase by phrase, we could understand it more clearly. The first two phrases says that if we just keep on doing the things that we used to do – (I think this refers to our sinful deeds,) of course we’ll always get the price of sinning. And we know some of that prices – no peace, too much worries, troubled mind, etc.
The logic is… I think we already know what the logic is, right? If we want to have a peace of mind and those prices that are good, we should start doing good things. I know it is not that easy to do that, but what can we do? We are still in this world and we are still in this flesh. So let’s strive hard. Faithfully doing good and patiently waiting for the Lord each day. Always pursuing for peace. Always running away from the evil one, but also always running to the Holy One. Psalm 34:14 is a good verse for this, so let’s meditate on it.
May God’s peace and grace, and love be upon you all! To God be the Glory!
